Question 1

What is an ATS?

Accepted Answer

An applicant tracking system is software many employers use to collect and filter CVs. If it can't read your CV properly, a person may never see it.

Question 2

What does the ATS score mean?

Accepted Answer

It's an estimate of how easily software and a recruiter can read your CV: clear headings, simple layout, plain text and relevant keywords score higher.

Question 3

Should I use a CV with columns or tables?

Accepted Answer

Usually not. Many systems read columns, tables, text boxes and images badly. A simple one-column layout with standard headings is safest.

Question 4

Will this rewrite my CV?

Accepted Answer

No. It points out the top issues and quick fixes. Kariya never invents experience; any changes should stay true to what you've really done.

Question 5

How do I get a full report?

Accepted Answer

Sign up free and run a CV–job match: you get a full score breakdown, missing keywords, rewritten bullet points and interview preparation for a specific job.
